Its to show the grown ups taking the kids to the popcorn movie they have something else to look forward to this summer.

I'm going to get to the theater early so I can borrow one of the wireless hearing assistance devices so that I can try to understand Bane's mumbled dialogue.  Smart move by Warner Bros, but TDKR will still be the bridesmaid this summer.

That is awesome.  It gives me something else to look forward to. 

A treat for the fans.  It must be to build excitement for the people at Avengers, because how many people who are seeing Avengers don't know the Dark Knight Rises is also coming out?   

Like what, maybe five of them?  And those are probably the douchebags who show up ten minutes into the film, play around on their cellphones and ask "What is going, what is happening?" for the rest of the movie.

You know what?  Screw those 5 people!

The Amazing Spiderman will be the skinny pimply faced kid who shows up at the prom with his ugly fat cousin.

Ahh, but the joy of ugly fat cousin prom sex cannot be understated!

Hate to say this but it looks like TDKR is in deep trouble (including the records held by its predecessor) ... Avengers is tracking to be the biggest opening weekend BO ever in the US ... 

I cant wait for all the movies this summer. Should be a lot of fun CBMs. It doesnt have t be one or the other.  I think The Dark Knight was slow, and disappointing, but Im still excited to see TDKR. Its Batman. Avengers will be great just for the dynamic between characters. It will be refreshing to see a new Spiderman after the last abomination.

And even though its not a CBM, Prometheus is my bet on the best movie all summer. This years "Rise of the Planet of the Apes"

Then end the summer with Expendables II. Hell yeah.  GREAT SUMMER

TDKR is in no trouble...WB are just saving the best for later this summer!!  Besides, not that it matters to me but even if The Avengers does better in theaters than TDKR it doesn't mean it'll be a better movie.  Anyway, I'm looking forward to both.
