DARK KNIGHT Teaser Trailer in 2 Weeks?

Alright you BATMAN fans (myself included), get ready for something soon. I know that Warner Bros warned everyone about THE DARK KNIGHT won't have an exhibit at this month's Comic Con 2007, instead opting for the Wizard World Chicago convention in August. According to Superhero Hype, that doesn't mean we won't see new material.

According to their sources, Warner Bros. plans to preview a teaser trailer for DARK KNIGHT in front of some screenings for Fox's July 27 release, THE SIMPSONS. This date coincides with the opening day of Comic Con 2007.

For those of you who are going to Comic Con, Warner Bros. does their exhibitor panel at 10:30 am on the 27th of July.

In Other Batman News: This isn't really news even if all news sites report it as such on a slow day. Aaron Eckhart was the press conference for his NO RESERVATIONS film which he co-starred with Catherine Zeta-Jones. The sites of course grilled him on the recent rumors that indeed Harvey Dent's alter ego would be appearing in THE DARK KNIGHT.

Here's what he said to Superhero Hype;

"There's people here who will put poison darts into me if I talk about Harvey," he joked when Superhero Hype! tried the subtle approach to find out whether he'd be playing him more like the nice guy in No Reservations or the edgy jerks he's played in other movies. "We're not here to talk about Batman. There's a whole year to do that." (Guess we know which side of Eckhart showed up for the press conference that day.)

"I feel that one is completely separate from the other," he replied when asked more directly about the part. "I don't feel like I have to do what
Tommy Lee Jones did. I don't even consider that, it?s not even something that bothers me."

Great, can't wait.

It's pretty sad. Billy Dee Williams portrayed Harvey Dent for two excellent Batman movies and the only comparison we get is to Tommy Lee Jones's wildly over-the-top Two-face from 'Forever'. Just as he was shafted for that 3rd movie, Bill Dee gets no repect again.

Um, Billy Dee Williams was only in ONE Batman movie.

While Billy Dee Williams might not get no respect like you say, I'm going to have to disagree on the shafted for Batman Forever part. Granted he didn't get the part but Mr. Williams had signed a play or pay contract I believe it's called(can't remember the name of it) that entitled him to still get paid for the role although he wasn't in the movie. So it turns out it wasn't all that bad for Billy Dee.
I think it's great we are getting a teaser cause I personally can't wait for this movie. So if this is the teaser does it mean we are getting the full trailer on December or something more Joker related on that month? Remember on the ibelieveinharveydenttoo web site the Joker said See you in December.

You're probably correct, Hanso.

Warner Bros has two movies coming out this December. One is a romance (PS I LOVE YOU--December 21, 2007)..so I bet it's not there.

That leaves one more choice which clearly makes sense.

Warner Bros has I AM LEGEND hitting theaters on December 14, 2007.

It's good betting odds that the full DARK KNIGHT trailer will be attached to this film.

I'm looking forward to I am Legend...I wrote a similar screen play...Everyone on earth dies except a man a woman and they are on the opposite sides of the world and then the devil comes to the surface to hunt them down because he knows that god is going to use the man and woman in an adam and eve kinda scenario, now the antagonist in the first half of the film is loneliness and fear of not finding another human being...The man and the woman leave clues behind just in case someone come along to find them and they keep missing each other by hours and miles...There of course is the fun you would have with everything at your fingertips with no one around to tell you yes or no... then there is the part where the devil finally catches up the the two after they have found each other and is trying to kill them but there is some higher spiritual powers that help them out and protect them from the bad, bad devil,lol...I know it's not like I am Legend, only the everyone on earth is gone part but I think it would make good movie in the same way Cast Away with Tom Hanks did when he was on the island and time and loneliness were the enemy...I don't know, maybe...

Sounds like a very interesting concept, Mlaforcer.

You should keep working on it..keep fine tuning it and see about it gaining some notice over at Donedeal.com (Where new screenplay writers and scribes go for tips and help.)

Tommy Lee Jones at least looked like the two-face in the comic book. Accept that idoit shoemocker whatever his name is should have had his face green not purple that was so lame.

tA HELL WITH BILLY DEE .. HE WOULD HAVE LOOKED DUMB IN THE TWO FACE MAKEUP.

Eckard is too goofy looking and he looks too much like Thomas Jane.

Liev Schriber would have made a much better Dent/Two Face.

hanso • Jul 14, 2007, 07:40pm •
Well Two FAce had a blue face on the Animated Series. I think the color of his disfigured half as varied from time to time, not sure though.

mlaforcer,

I think it's cool you wrote a screenplay. I'm not trying to be a dick so don't take this the wrong way but I wanted to throw 2 questions at you from the premise you gave. First, if they are on opposite sides of the world how can they miss each other by hours? It would seem to be that they couldn't be moving towards each other cause then they couldn't find the clues they were leaving behind. For example, If the guy starts from the West Coast moving towards the East and the girl starts from the EAst Coast towards the West, how is the guy going to find the clues the girl left in NY if he's still in Colorado leaving his own clues?
Second, If I'm not mistaken I think the Devil can pretty much pop up anywhere he likes, so why would he have trouble catching up with them?
Like I said don't take it the wrong way, I'm not bashing what you are doing and since you are the one writing it you probably already have the answers to the qs in your screenplay.

For me, the problem with the Tommy lee Jones TWOFACE wasn't his appearance, but his behavior.. he was wildly over the top all the time. No real sense of the divided, conflicted character, aside from the visual.
