The latest trailer for THE DARK KNIGHT has officially hit the web a few minutes ago, courtesy of an official site from WB. To watch it, click here and hit the "Download" icon on the right-hand side. I'm sure most of you fans have read it by now but I'll add a note anyway for everyone else. If you click on that Gotham Times link, you'll get transported to four pages of faux news, centering on events taking place currently inside the fictional city. Or you could just head on over to the HaHaHa Times for the Joker's take on that same faux news... The upcoming sequel stars Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Christopher Nolan is directing, based on a screenplay he co-wrote with Johnathan Nolan.

Plot Summary: Christian Bale once again embodies the man behind the mask in "The Dark Knight." The film reunites Bale with director Christopher Nolan and takes Batman across the world in his quest to fight a growing criminal threat. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman has been making headway against local crime...until a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker (Heath Ledger) unleashes a fresh reign of chaos across Gotham City. To stop this devious new menace--Batman's most personal and vicious enemy yet--he will have to use every high-tech weapon in his arsenal and confront everything he believes.

THE DARK KNIGHT will hit theaters July 18, 2008.

Let the haters hate. That laugh is perfect. Love his joker voice...smarmy, disturbing...

What do you think they'll call the third film? I was thinking something along the lines of dark (or something) detective but i doubt it.

That's in reference to the title of one of his old series by the by.

I can't imagine there would be too many haters. I think its as close to perfect as I could have imagined. But remember, its all about the story, and lets wait to see how that goes.

And please oh please no more "But he is wearing make up, no falling in chemicals, thats an outrage".

Dark Jedi,
That was the poster I was talking about on the other thread where you had the 2 international posters.*

The trailer is awesome!!!! The prologue is even better, this movie will own all in 2008!!!!!! Nolan is going to nail this film, gopher, I wouldn't even worry about the story cause you know that's going to rock as well.

As for the title of the third film, it's gotta be "The Dark Knight Returns"

I saw the Prologue and the movie trailer back to back on Saturday night at the IMAX @ New Roc City in NYC and to tell you this is going to be the best movie of 08 is an understatement. The Trailer was better than I Am Legend. Heath Ledger basically embodies the Joker from the comics with a gritty reality that many may call the definitive Joker on the big screen. I personally think they nailed the look and feel of the Joker. What's funny is that we haven't even seen what Harvey "Two Face" Dent looks like. I can't wait to see this one.

Ahhh, Hanso. It is a cool poster too..

Btw everyone...As I wrote in my blog, I've changed our Development Hell section around. Got rid of the outdated movies(released movies) and it will now serve as a true database with up-to-date trailers, teasers, behind-the-scene featurettes, etc..

Basically, it can now be a place for everyone to talk about the movie year round..Same goes for Iron Man in our development hell section, Cloverfield, GI Joe, Justice League, Thor, etc etc..

If I miss a trailer or behind the scene featurette to add into those individual sections, feel free to contact me with the link and I'll add it to those sections.

Just click on the Dark Knight link above to see what I'm referring to..

Also, that second trailer kicked some major ass. :)

By the way, for those that haven't seen the prologue cause there isn't a IMAX nearby(like me for instance :( ) The bootleg version of it is up on youtube. I found a direct link over at AICN but I guess you could go straight to youtube. Anyway, enjoy it, cause it's awesome.

Actually I sent in a scoop re the Gotham Times earlier in the wek but got a bounceback. I got some physical copies of it when I saw an advance screening of I Am Legend on Wednesday. as for the DK trailer they show a cutdown version without the Joker bit before regular screenings. Anyway I got some extras of the newspapers should I hold onto them cause they might be rare items or were the theatres handing them out? If anyone is interested PM me on the forums under my thread about this and maybe we can workout something.
