Despite some distress about the number of set photos and videos that made their online over the past few weeks, director Christopher Nolan and the folks over at Warner Bros. Pictures have thanked the people of Pittsburgh as they wrapped up their production for the Dark Knight Rises in steeler nation this weekend. SuperheroHype fans passed along the advertisement they posted in the local papers showing their appreciation for allowing the crew to commandeer a lot of busy intersections these past few weeks. And of course, some more videos have popped up online as well this weekend showing off their final moments of the shoot.

It's now off to New York and Los Angeles for Nolan and the cast of Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Nestor Carbonell, Matthew Modine, Tom Conti, Joey King, Brett Cullen, Chris Ellis, Josh Stewart and Christopher Judge. Franchise writers David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan penned the screenplay.

The Dark Knight Rises into theaters July 20, 2012.

Very Cool of them to publicly thank The River City. I stopped looking at leaked photos after the first shot of Bane, anbd didn't watch any of the videos. I want to be surprised when I see this movie

Same here, I am not watching anymore leaked stuff. I am afraid it will ruin the movie and I don't want that.

Gauley, it's the Steel City, not the River City.

Yeah, i got it mixed up because of The Three Rivers. And I heard of aBrass Band from Pittsburgh called the River City Brass Band. I thought maybe it was one of many nicknames

Who hopes that they incorporate the filming of this movie in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. That'd be funny. Also, does this mean that they wrapped the whole movie or they're just wrapped there? I'm aware it might be a dumb question.

All the shots that have been posted probably only count for about 15 minutes of chase and fight scenes anyway so I wouldn't worry about the spoiler factor.

Nah, Mr. E. As said above, the production is moving to New York and then Los Angeles for some post-production work.

A film production of this magnitude shouldn't be surprised that pics and vids are being released.  With today's tech available to the avg person it's just the way it's going to be whenever they shoot on location, especially in a big American city!  I'm not bothered by it, I consider it all to be teaser, nothing can ruin this movie for me, seeing half of it without post wouldn't ruin it for me!  But let's hope that doesnt happen!  Standing on the street and pointing your smartphone at an action scene is one thing, stealing an un-finished print and posting it, well that's a crime indeed!
