Now watch, this movie will be mildly successful, then suddenly we'll have 10 movies about dancers coming out.

The subject matter doesn't do much for me but since Aronofsky is directing, it should be pretty good. He's a very talented director, I thought The Fountain was such a beautiful film.

I see Aronofsky's directing himself into the history books...as someone whose movies we just don't give a damn about. "The Fountain" was horrible.

I guess a lot depends on your taste in films. Requiem For a Dream and Pi are both great films that shows his talent as a director. I can understand some people not liking The Founatin. I think that film had an amazing soundtrack, the acting was executed very well and the cinematography was beautiful. I do think the story might have seemed a bit ambiguous to a lot of people but what I interpreted the story to be along with the aforementioned aspects of the film made it one of my favorites that I saw over the past year.

The fountain was sick, especially when your brain is working differently than it normally does. aronofsky is the man and the fountain was the daring yet inevitable culmination of his first two films. Life death love! The raod to awe! i agree with jon41380, although not perfect, completely bold and original. ill see this dancer thing, aronofsky's got a loyal fan in me. And it seems that he want to do something very different from his earlier stuff.
