Alright... "in the vein of" means we need Kira Knightly... she's perfect... I agree we need more information, but they will need high quality actors to pull off another Pirates type scenario using magic and witchcraft. Sleepy Hollow meets Pirates of the Caribbean???

Is this film going to be related to the Witch Hunter Robin anime. I know they were talking about doing a live action film based on the Anime, could this be it.

If that was the case, they'ed reference Witch Hunter Robin. I think this is a different project.

ninja, with such a long-winded diatribe you posted, please show me where in the blurb it says the witches are evil. what if the witches are the hunters? little bit of a knee-jerk reaction me thinks.

True Christians, are not evil, thats why. I understand that true Wiccans are not as well, but whats next? The vampire crowd gonna start writing in about how misunderstood they are?...It's Genre escapist entertainment people. We enjoy certain forms of entertainment because we all secretly enjoy and relate to stereotypes. Like it or not. Most of us know the difference between "reality" and blue screen. If you don't well then, maybe you're not watching the same films I am. Every stereotype can easily be laid out into black and white. That's the movies we watch folks, not the real world we live in. You know what, as a christian, I live how I live and I don't really care what other people think about it. It's called actually believeing in what you say you believe in, or as I like to call it, having faith in your faith. Give that a try.

You know, I've never had a spell cast on me before. Not sure I believe in the whole witchcraft thing. Please argue with me. This could be fun.

Dmcarloni, you’re an idiot, but that's funny. I hope that the film focuses on the Witches being the hunters and set in the Victorian era, or Colonial day’s ala Pirates. That would be really cool. For the record, my views on religion is that as long as it's focused on spirituality and not rule... then it's cool with me. I don't care if you call yourself Buddest, Hindu, Jew, Druid, Taoist, Christian, Catholic, Wiccan, Muslim, Pagan, or a Scientologist (well...) it's all the same big unknowing unseeing undefinable entity somewhere out there (or inside of us as some religions believe). In other words, go for spirituality, not a name.

Hope you see this Ninjawatch. I really can'r argue with you without understanding your frame of reference. So, I need to ask you where the power comes from? If the source of the spell comes from a supreme being then I will agree that it is just like christians believe, but if the source od power for the spell comes from anything else, well then it is nothing like the christian religion. Phillip, I believe everything you said is exactly how I look at things. I can't say the same for you Iracors, but I respect what you said and I have no problem with it at all. Of course I mean the religeous part. Your movie idea is cool. It's not all the same entity, but most are.

Thanks almostunbiased. I would love to see a film where the good witch's are hunting down evil forces at work in the Victorian/Colonial days. They have to be careful themselves not to be takes as evil. Could be really good. Otherwise if it just a film about some people hunting witches... yawn...
