J. Michael Straczynski announced that David Goyer will be writing a treatment for Marvel Studios' THOR.

Mark Protosevich was originally tabbed to write the script and Goyer will be taking his place. No word on if he will be altering Protosevich's script or starting all over.

Goyer has previously worked on such projects as Batman Begins and Blade.

Hahaha! fritzlee, I always shat myself laughing when I read your comment. And these guys still don't get your point. It's a comic book adaptation people! Get a grip!

I may be the only one who doesn't think "Trinity" sucked.

The Norse mythology is one of the richest and most interesting mythologies in that the Gods are not immortal besides the various stories and animosity between Thor and Loki. If they pursue this route then the idea that Wes postulates has a lot of merit. Having said that, I'd rather see the Ultimate Thor version, it would make an interesting movie as people try to figure throughout the movie; is he nuts? is he really the son of Odin? I personally don't need to see Dr. Blake or another human link to Earth, but would rather just see Thor.

#10, you weren't the only one. I didn't think it was up to par with the first two, but it didn't suck. I will be interested to see what Goyer does with Thor. His work on Batman gets him an automatic benefit of the doubt on anything else he does.

I have to disagree with #14. Good = Blade, BB, Dark City. Avg = Blade 2 & 3 Bad = Crow and Nick Fury. I'll give him the benefit if the doubt.

Man some people loved Threshold and some really hated it. I'm just glad I didn't spend time on another cancelled series.

I'd rather see something on the god Thor than the comic-book version. #2 - wessmith - Even if he isn't versed in the lore, I'm sure he could read up on it or talk to people who are, but I'm guessing it won't be needed much.

Blade: Trinity was that trilogy's version of Batman & Robin.

Goyer sucks for the most part. Those giving him credit for Batman Begins are forgetting that he had help from Crhistopher Nolan on the screenplay. I think Goyer has some good ideas, but his executions are sorely lacking.

Why must it be an origin movie. Don't we have enough origin movies in the first place. Let's get to the nitty gritty already. Who see's these movies anyhow? Nascar fans? Little old ladies working on their quilts? Let's see the Thor, Cap and Hulk team up!
