David Hayter is moving beyond the world of screenwriting and preparing for his directorial debut in Crystal Sky's Werewolf, reports the horror fans at Bloody-Disgusting. Hayter, who's known for co-writing X-Men, X2 and Watchmen and voicing Snake in Sony's Metal Gear Solid franchise, will also write the screenplay before getting behind the camera.

Plot Concept: In the film a 17-year-old boy learns that he's a werwolf during a hot date. After waking up and finding his family dead, he flees to New England where he takes shelter. Each night animals around the town are being slaughtered, which pits the lead against a group of creatures that leads to a big government conspiracy.

Sounds interesting enough. Always down for a good werewolf movie.

I'm also down for a good werewolf movie. I'll have to wait to hear more about this.

"Each night animals around the town are being slaughtered, which pits the lead against a group of creatures that leads to a big government conspiracy." What on earth does that mean?

This story sounds more convoluted than the average horror movie, especially a werewolf film. They usually keep them pretty basic. Somebody's a shapechanger and doesn't want it. Keeps changing and killing while there's sex or the tension for it with a castmate. Big confrontation with werewolf hunters or another wolf. Hero wins but goes on with the curse.  They don't often have the main character die or get cured in the more recent films. It leaves room for sequels.

Wait amnd see how this looks.
