Davis, CA leads WOLVERINE Prem Contest

Fans in Davis, CA have asserted themselves as the favorites to host the world premiere of 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine', but its not too late to put your home town in the hunt.

Less than a week after Hugh Jackman announced on YouTube his plans to take the premiere of X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE to the people who made the X-Men film series one of the industry’s biggest, over 3000 towns and cities across the U.S. (including Alaska and Hawaii) are making frenzied bids to nab the big event.

Here's the current rundown of contenders as of Wednesday's tally:

1. DAVIS, CALIFORNIA
2. HASTINGS , NEBRASKA
3. AUSTIN, TEXAS
4. MELBOURNE, FLORIDA
5. DALLAS, TEXAS
6. SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS
7. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
8. TEMPE, ARIZONA
9. CHICAGO, ILLINOIS
10. PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA

But it's not too late to rally your town to the top of the list.  Tell all your friends and neighbors to click over X-MenOrigins.com/Premiere and vote your town to #1.

The winning town will be announced on April 20th. The movie premiere will happen in the winning town on April 27th.
