Night Watch was really freakin cool, so I`m looking forward to seeing this.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I hated Nightwatch.... I found it to be like a Frankenstein made up of the plot of 72 other fantacy/horror/action flicks.... just wasn't impressed.

Before my comment, you weren't a minority MM999. But I liked Night Watch more than I thought I would. I expect that the trilogy will get better with each movie (assuming that Bekmambetov learned from the brothers Wachowski).

I liked Nightwatch, but it didn't live up to the uber-hype it received at aintitcool.com. It had some good story elements and some excellent visuals, and from what I've read, Day Watch is better. I'm looking forward to seeing this.

Never saw Night Watch. Guess I'll have to Netflix that, as this looks interesting.

trailer is up on yahoo movies if anyone is interested. Its not that this movie is anything really original and special, but it has some just really cool and forward thinking, imaginative elements. The final car scene in the trailer is pretty crazy.

I think I can say I didn't really liked Nighwatch because of the flow of the story. The movie had some really cool ideas and lots of nice special Fx but, the story itself was hard to follow. I hope the second one has a better paste then the first one. Can't wait to see what happened with the kid....

I really like Nightwatch but I do agree with jedibanner that the story was difficult to follow. I do, however, hope that by the end of the trilogy, everything will hopefully make sense. Despite the problems with the story, I felt that it was a lot different than most things I've been seeing in theatres. It just shows that although people say that they want something different, something "new", people just want the same things they already have. More Blades of Glory please. Maybe part of Nightwatch's problem and appeal is the fact that it is a foreign film...

"Nightwatch" was just another crappy foreign film...and I mean INCREDIBLY crappy.
muchdrama 4/24/2007 5:38:36 PM
At least we can be content with the fact that Timur Bekmambetov does know how to throw some incredible visuals on the screen..."Wanted" should be excellent looking, and perhaps even a good movie?
