Hey Darth. You are talking to yourself again.
LOL. Peace.

Laz - lol, yes, but at least I'm not arguing with myself, rite?
Boy. some people just have to learn the HARD WAY, lol, 1st that crusty ole dragon, and now Mythdope, lmao!!!! Gonna be a fun winter!!!
Man, lol, I cant wait till I hear about Arrow Crashing and Burning.
Hey Darth, I haven't heard anything about the rights going back but in past articles, Oct 9th was the deadline to shoot the movie. I'm guessing Fox had already accepted the fact DD was quietly going back to Marvel. I think it was the same for Sub-Mariner, Hulk and Punisher rights. When they went back to Marvel, it wasn't a red carpet affair.
And yes, Arrow sucks.
Several months ago when TDKR was being hyped and talk of JLA movies, on one of these boards, I said "the success of Nolan's Batman is what's killing DC in the inability to produce good movies based on their franchise characters."
I stand by my statement but one person here said I was a fool for saying that.
Because the Nolan realistic superhero movies were a success for DC/Warner, it was now deemed acceptable to have all their heroes dark/realistic. WB concluded with the GL failure, this is the route they would take for success. I didn't find GL that bad, just Reynolds was the miscast and could have used a bit more polish. It flopped because it was a B-list hero following the cottails of 2 other superhero movies, Thor and X-men First Class.
My point is, they are sticking to the Nolan formula because his is the only successful one. They are doing this with Arrow. Also a newly rumoured WW tv show called Amazon (and more grounded). Man of Steel is apparently more dark and less "comicbook" from what I heard so we'll see what Snyder has in store. Good article online following a review of Arrow called "Is DC/WB embarassed by superhero tropes?"
I don't know about Arrow. Why bother with all of the characters if they have no association to their comic counterparts?
EIbaz - Yeah, I think your right, those at Fox probally dont want to advertise that they fumbled the ball on those Right's.
Your preaching to the Choir over here, my Man, about W.B.& D.C. and I agree with you, why not take advantage of the entire D.C. universe?
lmao, Yes I was reading up on that TDKR convo, and I assure you that person is in for a huge Rude Awakening IF they continue to feel the need to take me to task, hopefully it will make for interesting reading or at least be slightly entertaining. : )
I watched Arrow off my DVR and was not impressed, interesting story but I am so disappointed the need to do this dark crap. What is the thinking that dark and gritty automatically means ratings. It is stupid.
They could have gone a little more like the title and been similiar to the GA in Smallville. Again, christ, why not CONTINUE the GA story line from Smallville, it was popular, interesting and WORKED.
On another note. Cartoon Network has unexpectably pulled the DC NATION block from the lineup until Jan. And this after THREE FREAKING WEEKS of new shows. Seriously CN? WTF?
Anyway, my life is sucking like a class 10 black hole currently. How are you guys doing.
Arrow is just another example of D.C. showing Gay Character, lmao!!!
