DC Comics promotes Dan DiDio

Becomes VP / Executive Editor of comic book publisher

Dan DiDio has been promoted from the position of Vice President - Editorial to Vice President - Executive Editor of DC Comics. The news was released today by the comic book publisher and made effective by Paul Levitz, DC's President and its Publisher.

DiDio joined the company two years ago after a stint as Story Editor for Mainframe Entertainment, the creators of CGI television shows REBOOT, BEAST WARS and WAR PLANETS. DiDio joined DC in January 2002 and immediately began overseeing the creative direction of the company's titles. He has been instrumental in cultivating new creative talent for the publisher as well as being a driving force in securing talent exclusively for DC. In recognition of his accomplishments, in 2003 Wizard magazine bestowed the title of "Man of The Year" for DiDio.

"Dan has brought great energy and love of our characters to his work on the DC heroes," said Levitz in a company issued press release, "And is already making an important difference in the creative direction of their world. We're pleased to recognize his contributions with this promotion, and look forward to an even more exciting DC Universe in the future."

"I want to thank Paul for the opportunity to work with the best characters and creators in the industry," added DiDio. "We have assembled a closely knit group of writers, artists, and editors and, together, we are working to create stories that will continue to excite and surprise our readers.
