SEQUENTIAL TART runs an interview with comics legend Carmine Infantino. Infantino, a key figure in DC Comics' long history, reminisces about his youth in the industry in the forties and his rise to publisher.
Here's a sample (Infantino is recalling Bob Kanigher): "On the very first
FLASH that we did, the cover, all he said was he wants a film strip of the character running out of the strip. That was all. And he said "The rest is up to you. Create the character, the costume and whole concept of the cover." But, if he didn't like it, you had a living hell. He liked it, my cover. He was tough, a tough taskmaster, but he brought out what was best in you. He knew what you were capable of. "
