I only read one of these (Batman) and sometimes peruse an issue of Batgirl.  Deathstroke sounds bad.  I thought I recently heard that Leifield was gone from DC.  Maybe that was wishful thinking.

No Liefield left in a very public and nasty fashion. He took to twitter and trashed all the editorial and even some people who weren't involved in his books. Yeah he's gone. The first volume of batgirl wasn't bad at all. And of course Snyder's batman has been one of the best. The deathstroke stuff on the other hand, yikes. My comic shop owner pulled a random liefield issue off the rack and started reading off dialogue to me. Holy shit I'm glad he's gone.

Leifield lasted way longer than I thought he would. But he's not not the only high profile creator whose bailed on the New52. But his has been the most contentious and public to date. Other creators have quitely left to "do other projects." I'm not a fan of Liefield but where there's smoke there's fire.

DC announces these line wide #0 issues and it looks like they're already looking to reboot the reboot and the New 52 is barely a year old.

Well the New 52 is actually the new 62...10 of the original titles have already been canceled and 10 more released to take its place.  I'm not sure in the heyday how many titles DC produced...likely more than 52 but this is far from the heyday...52 titles seem a lot to support and that's not even including the Vertigo titles.  I think 35 is a better number.

I still think Damian Robin sucks.  Can we have a public poll to see if he lives or dies? LOL

I'm not a fan of Damien Wayne either, they shoulda kept Tim Drake as Robin.  And I didn't care for them giving Barbara her legs back, she was better as Oracle and Stephanie Brown was just starting her tour as the new Batgirl, it shouldn't have ended that early.  I will say moving Deathstrokes origin out of the Korean war is a good thing, it's rarely a good idea to lock a comic character into a set time period like that as now must other Korean war vets are now in retirement homes if alive at all.  Alot of heroes have still yet to show up in the new 52, like Wally West and Donna Troy, they need to start getting them placed in the new world.

It's weird because online, there is a lot of artis and writters leaving DC because of apparent last minute editorial changes so, not surprised Liefeild blew it but to hear he's not the only one? Adds to the idea that maybe this time it's not all Liefield's fault...this time.

right or wrong...Liefeld for me represents all the bad of the early 90s comic book boom and then bust.  He was a hot artist (deserved or not) who parlayed that into his role at Image and then as a writer when Marvel decided to give him and several other image writers license to do what they wanted with their titles.  I think it was a slap in the face to guys who'd been writing comics for years.  Just because you can draw doesn't mean you can tell a story.  Now sure you could toss guys like JIm Lee and others into the same boat but Liefeld always seemed to be especially antagonistic.  I think he's improved as an artist but he just can't write.
