Mania Manifesto: Top 7 Video Games at E3 - Jul 22, 2008 - 07:04am
I agree that this doesn't seem like a list of TOP games from E3. Unless being there and playing them made all the difference, from the videos I've seen I could name seven other games that seem to stand out more as far as fan anticipation goes. Resident Evil 5, Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Fallout 3, Halo Wars, Call of Duty: WAW, Prince of Persia And those are just for the Xbox 360. Spore, Borderlands, and Mercenaries all definitely look cool though and I'll want to play them. But the ones I listed would have to come first.

I think two of the biggest omissions that I'm not sure how they will resolve is not showing them find the locket at the Order's house and Kreacher's role in lying to Harry about Sirius' whereabouts which sent Harry to the ministry thinking Voldemort had him. Both of these events have significance in Deathly Hallows and they are such small but important clues that should have been included. I do love these movies though, regardless of the changes. I'll be seeing the entire ending of HBP in a few weeks when I start working for IMAX on the 3D conversion. It's awesome to get to work on it but as a fan of the films I hate spoiling the movie for myself before I see it in the theater. But even though I saw the ending to OOTP a hundred times over when I worked on it, it will still amazing to see in IMAX when it came out.

I'm definitely going to pick up the hardcover edition of Throne of Jade. Anyone know if His Majesty's Dragon was ever released in hardcover? Now that I have Victory of Eagles in hardcover I would like them all. By the way, if you haven't read this series I highly recommend it. I know Peter Jackson optioned this series and I hope he gets to making them films someday. They will be amazing especially with Weta doing the visual effects.
