de Bont? ewww! Man, he has made one good flick in opinion. Speed! The rest of them have sucked, big time, especially Speed 2.
Don't do it John, don`t do it. You are a cool actor. Grosse Point Blank, High Fidelity, Pushing Tin. All great flicks! Don't do a Jan de Bont film. Its not just you, you`re hurting, its the rest of the world too.

John is an amazing actor... Perhaps he can even make this movie good.

Fox cancels Drive, but now we have "Fly!"
Trailer me.

Why can't DeBont stop? Speed was good, Twister was okay, everything else garners a healthy thumbs down. He needs to convert himself back into a cinematographer.

Yeah, he seems to have done some pretty good cinematography for at least 5 flicks including Die Hard. Stick to what you know dude! I think you need to be slapped.

I really like John Cusack, one of the finest actors of my generation (IMO), but a car chase movie? Aren't there enough of them in production these days? i understand that this kind of movie is right up the director's alley, but please, we don't need any more of these. My only hope is that with Cusack aboard there's some actual acting in this film, but with De Bont in the director's chair I have strong doubts. Hopefully the trailer will show me something that will spark my interest in seeing this.

I loved Twister and Speed. I also liked that Lara Croft movie he directed. This mighty just work.

i guess I missed where it says anything about car chases. I assumed since he is a test pilot that they probably were air chases, which could make things a little interesting. Cusack has the ability t improve most films he is in, hopefully he can do the same here.

"I know...let's base the "Speed" sequel on a boat. No, not a speed boat...but a HUGE cruise ship."

Famous last ideas.
