From its memorably nasty, cheaply made effects to its offbeat sense of manical fun, Sam Raimi's EVIL DEAD film series continues to grow in popularity despite the last sequel ARMY OF DARKNESS being released 10 years ago (chalk up all those DVD re-releases for its current God-like status). While it's unclear whether Raimi will ever add another chapter to the movie franchise, THQ is bringing Dead-heads the next best thing a new video game titled EVIL DEAD: FISTFUL OF BOOMSTICK.
"I think the franchise really lends itself well to the video game industry," says FISTFUL assistant producer Jason Garwood. "The franchise is so over-the-top because there is so much campy humor involved along with large amounts of action, so I think it was fairly easy to convert this franchise to a game."
