Tecmo announced today that DEAD OR ALIVE 3 has shipped to stores and that the game will continue to remain exclusive to the Xbox.
In a press release, Tecmo explained that the game has been released early to help retailers in what will end up being the most hectic few days in videogame history.
"We're pleased to ship DEAD OR ALIVE 3 a week earlier than expected," said Inada, marketing director of Tecmo, Inc. "This gives all retailers a chance to have the game available on shelves in time for the November 15 launch of Xbox. We anticipate demand will peak when the multi-million dollar TV ad campaign kicks off on November 11, 2001."
"Despite rampant speculation, Tecmo has no plans to produce DEAD OR ALIVE 3 for other consoles," clarified Tecmo President Isamu Fukada. "DEAD OR ALIVE 3 was designed to take full advantage of and play exclusively on Xbox, which is the most powerful video game system on the market."
Considering that you have to actually install the game onto the Xbox's hard drive, we hope that DEAD OR ALIVE 3 would look sharp.
The Xbox launches on November 15th.
