Deadpool yes, Ryan Renolds no. I don't know why  the guy is still pushing himself for this. Is this like his one shot or something? Let it go Ryan, just let it go.

Did VTGamehenge just have an argument with himself?  That was amazing!

Reynolds is a fine choice for DP, Bradly Cooper might be too but he wouldn't touch the project.  What really matters is that the film sticks to the supposedly amazing script that has been floating around for a couple years now and it must keep the R rating.

"minimal impact to the studio" should be the magical words but the "needs a rated R" is what I'm sure is giving them pause because that equates to possible money left on the table. You know they want at least a pg13 for a wider audience and wondering why they can't go the same route they've gone with Wolverine

Tallman, Reynolds is the only one TRYING to get his made. If he doesn't do it, frankly, it's just not going to happen. Reynolds is perfect for the role: Loud, obnoxious, crass, crude, etc. Plus he's proven that he can do action and handle the stunt-work needed for this role. Honestly, I can't think of anyone that would be suited for the roll except for Ryan Reynolds.

Well, maybe Jason Lee, but they'd really need to hire Kevin Smith to write/direct that version.

Wiseguy, the "minimal impact" is what they're using to justify the R-rating. If the studio puts up, say, $10MM for the film, and it brings in $25MM (it would do way, WAY more than that) because of a limited R-rated release, they still make money. If they give them $75MM and it only makes $30MM because of the R-rating, then it's a killer.

The "minimal impact" is much like the Dredd film with Karl Urban: Low budget means low box office doesn't hurt as much.

I'd be up for a Reynolds Deadpool for realz. Since he breaks the fourth wall, maybe he can talk about how shitty the first incarnation was.

Fair call warcry but for me it's just him, there's something about him and how this is all he goes on about. Let's say this gets made with him as DP and it flops - tremendously.

All this banging on about it will make him look even more of a jackass. I would love to see a DP movie but let the people behind the film making choose if/when etc it gets made.
