Death Note Gaining Ground

While the manga run is getting closer to catching up and completing, the property is gaining some serious ground worldwide and in the eyes of retailers, as seen in this new ICv2 article. While it won't hit Naruto levels if/when it finally comes over, it's the kind of property you can expect to be optioned for a live action remake of the Japanese live action movie which will bring it to wider audiences. That has the potential to draw in more fans to the anime, which will likely/already be licensed as well as the manga.
