The two "Death Note" pics, which have together grossed nearly ¥7 billion ($60 million) in Japan, have generated a spinoff featuring the pics' eccentric detective, according to local press reports.The first "Death Note" pic, distribbed by Warners Japan, earned $24.6 million following its June release.
