We knew from the previous announcement that Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part I would hit theaters the "Holidays 2010" while Part II was set for "Summer 2011". Well, Warner Bros. has updated their website and notified media that the first installment will hit theaters November 19, 2010. Still no set date for Part II.
David Yates (Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince) is set to direct the final films, based on a screenplay by Steve Kloves.
Since they are breaking into 2, I expect them to have the whole frakkin book, although they shouldn't show Dumbledore & his boyfriend giving each other reach arounds. It's just not family friendly for a Holiday & Summer movie.
hanso, you're such a prude. There's nothing wrong with a little wizard/man love............With this being a two parter it only smells of wanting to squeeze everything they can out of the franchise. Surprise they don't start splitting the others in two as well.
Wiseguy, they will not split the others because ten years after the complete saga is done, there will be a “re-release†of the movies, with additional scenes taken directly from the books that were not included in the originals. Of course, all of those scenes will be in CGI; and 90-year-old George Lucas will be the executive producer.
Well, I thought it involved a Rusty Trombone and a Dirty Sanchez....OR maybe a Cleveland Steamer and a Strawberry Shortcake, followed with a Donkey Punch and end with some Space Docking.....Personally, I love the fact that she made the announcement that Dumbuldore was gay, just to piss off the the bible fucking types.....she is a hip chick,,,,, I am really glad they are doing 2 movies for the last book. i would have loved to have seen that for the 4th book too. I say bring on the Potter.
I haven't read the books, yet, cause I'm waiting for all the movies first, but does him being gay have anything to do with the stories at all. I mean is it obvious he is gay, or did she just say she pictured him that way when she wrote them. I guess I'm just looking for the relevance in saying he is gay.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Oh and Whisky, wow, talk about some nasty crap, literally in some cases. I'm ashamed that I even know what some of those are.
I think I'm starting to understand Whiskey's disdain for the church. The stuff he's apparently into I don't think is condoned by any religious group. I never had heard about most of that stuff. Good for you Whiskey, enjoy. Jk Rowling, is a real hip chick, she made one of her characters gay, if that's not the coolest thing ever I don't know what is. What a pioneer in the world of literature. Having a gay character = being cool.
Dumbledore being a homosexual and enjoying giving reach around to his wizard lover was the stupidest shit eva!!!!! Like my tax evading friend Wiseguy said, nothing wrong with a little wizard man love. Having said that if JK Rowling wanted to be really hip then she should've come out and said it sometime before the series was over. Maybe after the first book? But noooooo, she waits till the end so no parent will ban their children from reading a book with a gay character in it. That way the books profits aren't hurt. You know that chic be crazy about her profits, suing her fans and what not. Guess she figured she had enough money now to finally man up and out that wonderful gay wizard. She wants to be hip she should write Albus Dumbledore and the Deathly Swallows! booyaaaa, made a joke, get it?
