Update: The first trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has premiered online. You can check it out here.

Warner Bros. Pictures and USA Today have revealed some screenshots from the trailer of the final Harry Potter installment. Check some of them out below and view the rest here.

Plot Concept: Part 1 begins as Harry, Ron and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort's immortality and destruction—the Horcruxes. On their own, without the guidance of their professors or the protection of Professor Dumbledore, the three friends must now rely on one another more than ever. But there are Dark Forces in their midst that threaten to tear them apart.

Meanwhile, the wizarding world has become a dangerous place for all enemies of the Dark Lord. The long-feared war has begun and Voldemort's Death Eaters seize control of the Ministry of Magic and even Hogwarts, terrorizing and arresting anyone who might oppose them. But the one prize they still seek is the one most valuable to Voldemort: Harry Potter. The Chosen One has become the hunted one as the Death Eaters search for Harry with orders to bring him to Voldemort... alive.

Harry's only hope is to find the Horcruxes before Voldemort finds him. But as he searches for clues, he uncovers an old and almost forgotten tale—the legend of the Deathly Hallows. And if the legend turns out to be true, it could give Voldemort the ultimate power he seeks.

Little does Harry know that his future has already been decided by his past when, on that fateful day, he became "the Boy Who Lived." No longer just a boy, Harry Potter is drawing ever closer to the task for which he has been preparing since the day he first stepped into Hogwarts: the ultimate battle with Voldemort.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I will hit 3D/2D/IMAX theaters November 19, 2010.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II will hit the same theaters July 15, 2011.

Looking good.

AmbyWarhol 6/28/2010 5:40:03 AM

Is he ever going to get a nose?

Didn't this trailer already come out?  Weird...if it's two movies, why are they already showing shots from the second one (them dueling in the mear destroyed Great Hall)?

ddiaz28 6/28/2010 6:53:06 AM

For now they seem to be promoting it as a whole instead of just the first film.  I think when they finally come out with a full trailer, it will be just for the first film.

BTW, what's up with that dueling scene?  Shouldn't that be in the Great Hall with everyone watching?  I mean, I'm not really bothered by the location changing, but everyone should be surrounding them.  Love that there are dead bodies everywhere though.  Looks like they didn't try to lighten it up at all which is great.  I can't wait to see the Battle of Hogwarts.  It's funny, but I really hope they keep Mrs. Weasly's great line in the film.  "Not my daughter you b*tch!"  That was classic.

" the studio and USA Today have went ahead and revealed some screenshots from the trailer."

They have went ahead?  Really?  C'mon, there are some gramatical errors that just can't be forgiven.  Doesn't your spell checker point gramatical no-nos?

vagabondster 6/28/2010 8:49:44 AM

lookin good, hope it's better than pt6 was...tho I wish they gave Voldy a nose or otherwise explain what happened in between his time at Hogwarts and now to transform him that way. You'd think the resurrection spell in pt4 would have made him look completely human..

halfbloodprincess 6/28/2010 9:50:31 AM

Voldemort has a snake like nose in the books after he comes back at the end of Goblet of Fire. So no they aren't going to give him a human nose.

spiderhero 6/28/2010 11:23:56 AM

Some of these images look like they are fom the end of the book which would be part 2. But I guess we'll see soon.

swisshammer 6/28/2010 11:29:29 AM

God I'm really looking forward to this! The pics look great!

I don't really remember the fight between Voldy and Harry in the Great Hall. I remember the fight in the forest where Harry... ahem... you know. But I don't remember the Great Hall fight. Do I really have to go back and re-read the novel? Ugh... damn.

Anyway, looks awesome!

ddiaz28 6/28/2010 12:03:34 PM

Yeah, the fight in the Great Hall is where it all ends.  Looks like they took it outside though.  I always go back and re-read the book before the movie.  I've actually re-read the entire series before a new film.  But I've read them so many times that I think I'll just stick to re-reading DH this time.
