Nice sneak peak!  One year to go but that still got me a bit excited.  It's going to be a long wait.

I'm amazed they released anything at all this far away from it. First a few pics, then a whole slew of decent video. I call it an early Christmas present from WB. There's apparently going to be some stuff about it on the DVD release of HBP tomorrow as well.

This is one of the premiere franchises of the new millenium. I disregarded it at first as kids' stuff but once I heard the late great Richard Harris give his speech at the end of 'Stone' about Harry and the gift his mother gave him, I was sold. I understood everything about the character, his journey, his relevance to popular culture, and how he takes his place alongside the other models in Joseph Campbell's 'hero' archetype. I have nothing but the deepest respect for JK Rowling and all of the other great talent that have made this franchise arguably No. 2 with the LOTR trilogy in this first decade of the new millenium. I can only hope and pray someone else will be inspired to create something as memorable and as, no pun intended, magical as the Harry Potter phenomenon was.

I think this is exactly what is on the DVD.

I'm looking forward to finding out what happens.  I am reading th first book now and should have the first six done before this comes out.

almostunbiased, I said the exact same thing. I hadn't read the books until earlier this year. About 2 months before HBP came out, I decided to start reading them, think I should get at least HBP finished before the movie came out. Well, I got passed the 1st book and couldn't stop. I had them all read in 3 weeks. Even read HPB and DH twice before the movie came out. And that's aside from work, all the house stuff, and twins. The books are an addiction. Incredible writing. Incredible story. I hope you enjoy them.

And coming in 2013 the re-launch of Harry Potter with younger hipper kids who cuss, use slang, and carry 9mm's with there new classmates "Glampires" right out of Twilight. So look forward to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer is Stoned in 2013.

Sweet.  I can't wait!  I'll re-read the whole series next year before this comes out.  Just to refresh my memory.
