THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER has announced that writer/director David DeFalco (REDEMPTION, GANGLAND) is ready to begin shooting THE HOUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, his horror homage to the 1972 Wes Craven classic THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT.

While NOWHERE is not a remake of the Craven film, two cast members from the Craven classic will be involved in the new film: David Hess (SWAMP THING, AVALANCE EXPRESS), who played Krug Stillo in LEFT, returns as a racist sheriff, and Marc Sheffler, who played Junior Stillo in LEFT, will produce the new film along with Steven J. Bernheim (THE BACK LOT MURDERS, GANGLAND).

Kevin Gage (BLOW, POINT BLANK) will star as the lead convict. Other cast members include: Sage Stallone (DAYLIGHT), Deborah Lacey (STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE) and Chantal Berry.
