What I have a hard time understanding is if the entire city is underground, how is the arch still above it. I've never been to St Louis, so I don't know the landscape, but this makes no sense to me. Nitpicky, I know, but COME ON!

The show's a little weird, but I'll give it a couple more episodes to WOW me... so far, it hasn't.

I'm out, on this one (it just isn't grabbing my attention).   Hungry for some good Sci-Fi on the ole flat screen.  Maybe I'll give Falling Skies another shot when it returns in June.

I'm somewhat impressed.  They are still busy introducing the characters and situations.  But I think this shows a keeper.

I'm still on the fence but will keep watching.  My kids love it so it will be on the DVR regardless.

Not perfect, but the show looks like it has potential to develop.

I had the same question about the arch.

Don't forget the whole "the aliens started terraforming the earth" part of the set up which explains how the landscape has changed from what we know now to what they're portraying in the future.

I'm assuming part of the city sank and the terraforming grew over it.  That's what it sounded like to me.  Didn't really think to much about it.  The first two episodes have got me interested so I'm willing to go along for the ride for now.

Or maybe the mountains grew over the city.  Where they are is surrounded by mountains and St L is pretty big.  Good question though.  I thought it sounded dumb, but I didn't care enough as there are so many things wrong with this show.  That said, I actually like it so far.  It's not great for sure, but I'll watch it for a while and hopefully it will stick around long enough to get good.

I thought it was just the top of the arch.

In some of the ads, they just take a picture of St. Louis and photoshop out the rest of the city, but in scenes actually from the show only the upper half of the arch is visible.
