Guillermo del Toro and Grant Morrison have convinced DreamWorks to let them develop a new film that stems from their love of comic books.

Del Toro, the director of BLADE 2, and Morrisson, writer of BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM and a current scribe on X-MEN, have sold the pitch SLEEPLESS KNIGHTS to the dream factory, and the two are currently turning the pitch into a script.

The plot centers on a world frozen in time on Halloween Eve after a time machine experiment goes wrong. When the ghosts of the dead realize they could rule the world, a boy and his band of friends, calling themselves the SLEEPLESS KNIGHTS, must save the day.

The film is being produced by Don Murphy, who also produced FROM HELL and is working now on THE LEAGUE OF EXTRODINARY GENTLEMEN.
