In a recent interview with Sci Fi Wire, Guillermo del Toro discussed the sequel to 2004's HELLBOY. Del Toro mentioned that the film will feature killer robots and a new character, the spectral B.P.R.D. agent Johann Kraus, but will eliminate Rupert Evans' Agent Myers.

"The idea is, in a strange way, not very different from Pan's Labyrinth," del Toro said in a telephone interview on Sept. 28. "It's a clash between the real world and the fantasy world, you know? And how the world of humans is destroying, eroding, imagination."

Del Toro is no Michael Bay.

Oh, and mlaforcer and madmanic999, if you want to battle it out -- witty comment style -- meet me over on the Voodoo Moon thread. If you got beef with Dalton, bring it. But you'd better get your gameface on. Because Dalton don't pull no punches. (I really did think "Hellboy" was just alright. Better than "The Punisher", nowhere as kick-ass as the original "Batman". And for the record, am I the only one who thinks "Batman" and "Batman Returns" kick the shit out of "Batman Begins"? Since this is a comic book film thread and all...)

dalton, please don't hurt me... I don't want my ass kicked by a guy with a mullet. Hellboy.... I love the first movie and love the comic, this one was tailor made to a certain audience, and having the second in between our world and a fantasy world will really allow the characters to let loose.... I'm down

I'm looking forward to revisting the Hellboy world. I liked the first movie, although I did think the best part was the WWII opening.

Please tell me Jeffery Tambor will return with his cigar smokin' skills.

Yes, Dalton, you're the only one. I'm looking forward to this, too. I think Del Toro did a great job on a limited budget making a fun movie. Long live Jeffrey Tambor!

And though you still have almost no clue Dalton, I will tell you that the original Batman and Batman Returns, is still great. But to say it dominates Batman Begins, is straight up SILLY!!!! And back on point, this franchise can stay sucessful if they stay true to the original, which didn't try to hard. And that is what made it work by not overdoing it(unlike other comic book to screen gems I could name but wont).
