Here is a creepy one for you Maniacs. Check out the story of NY City Police Officer Ralph Sarchie (Eric Bana) in DELIVER US FROM EVIL. The film is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
Synopsis: In DELIVER US FROM EVIL, New York police officer Ralph Sarchie (Eric Bana), struggling with his own personal issues, begins investigating a series of disturbing and inexplicable crimes. He joins forces with an unconventional priest (Edgar Ramírez), schooled in the rituals of exorcism, to combat the frightening and demonic possessions that are terrorizing their city. Inspired by the book, which details Sarchie's bone-chilling real-life cases.
DELIVER US FROM EVIL features Eric Bana, Edgar Ramírez, Olivia Munn, and is directed by Scott Derrickson (Sinister).

love eric bana, and this looks better than most satanic flicks... but i'm ready for the early critics to go either way.

Yeah, I saw a trailer for this in front of a movie I saw last week I think.  In front of Sabotage, maybe?  I've been seeing so many movies lately I can't remember!  Seen three this week alone.  I have a problem!

But yeah, I remember thinking at the time that it looked pretty cool.  I'll probably go check it out.

One thing I do remember thinking though was the fact that it's from the same people that did Emily Rose, and that movie wasn't very good, IMO.  Not only did I find that movie rather boring, but it wasn't even really much of a ghost/possession story.  It turned into more of a courtroom drama, complete with Laura Linney playing her typical lawyer role.
