Delta Force coming to the tube

Mamet, Ryan working on new TV project about anti-terrorism squad

Shawn Ryan, creator of THE SHIELD, and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright/film director David Mamet (HEIST, SPARTAN) are developing a television series focusing on the lives of members of Delta Force, America's elite counter-terrorism fighting force. The two are using Eric Haney's book INSIDE DELTA FORCE: THE STORY OF AMERICA'S ELITE COUNTERTERRORIST UNIT as a launching point for developing the series which will focus on the personal as well as professional lives of the characters.

Since it's still in its formative stages, the show isn't attached to a network or has an intended broadcast date.
