Deluxe STARGATE soundtrack due from Varèse

Varèse Sarabande has announced an expanded deluxe edition of David Arnold's seminal score for the 1994 sci-fi hit STARGATE. The CD will be available on July 4 and features the newly remastered score performed by the massive Sinfonia of London.

The original film that spawned not one but two TV series receives The Deluxe Edition treatment in this newly mastered and expanded special soundtrack release. For STARGATE, composer David Arnold delivered the score that garnered him the international acclaim that ultimately led to projects like INDEPENDENCE DAY and the last three installments of the James Bond franchise (DIE ANOTHER DAY, THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH and TOMORROW NEVER DIES). Stargate is an enormous score using huge orchestral forces to recapture the spirit and adventure of the great action films of the past.

The label will also release Brian Tyler's new score for THE FAST AND FURIOUS: TOKYO DRIFT, featuring Slash of Guns n' Roses on guitar. This album will be available on June 20.
