Al Pacino and Robert De Niro teaming up again (HEAT-1995) as partners in a thriller? Alright, this movie has my attention. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Overture Films has picked up the North American distribution rights to the crime thriller RIGHTEOUS KILL. The film centers on two NYC detectives (Al Pacino & Robert De Niro) hot on the heels of a serial killer.

Rapper 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) may get a role as a drug dealer who helps the two detectives i.e possible informant.

Filming for the 60 million dollar budgeted film is set to begin in September by director Jon Avnet.

well sound good, both are very talented actor and more they are old more wise they are, for sure the script have to be smart, otherwise they won t do it. We all expect the best. 88 minutes was very bad, so pacino need to boost is carier and de niro need fund to his production company....60 millions budget is not very good, especially if it s inculd both salary....

Hopefully, both actors will be at the top of their game for this one. I can't wait to see this one. I really don't care what the movie's about as long as it isn't a dumb cop comedy buddy movie.

I am there. Anything with these two...

I agree, it's worth a look. But exfan may have a point here; if the budget went in salary, and the secondary cast is weak and production values suffer, this may be a disaster.

It doesn't say who the director is. That could really make the difference in how good this could be.

John Avnet is directing.

I had an opportunity to read this script at work about a month ago. Personally, I found it kind of underwhelming. Seven meets Usual Suspects meets Boondock Saints with the dialogue of The Departed.

Considering how limp their on-screen teaming was in Heat, I am looking forward to what seems to be something more substantial in this movie.

Bryan Waywhere do you work? And if these two old man can't extract a decent performance out of each other they might as well retire.

The De Niro/Pacino team up had me going there...until you threw in the 50 Cent addition to the mix...there are other far more deserving actors who can bring this up a notch for that role...instead you get studio marketing gumps who throw in "Heeey we can 50 Cents in there...y'know, cash in on that urban demographics and let's throw in some of that hip-hop, rap music you know"... With two A-list talent I already foresee a b-list production

I have two words about this movie: Crash and Burn.
