DeNiro & Pacino Are Set to KILL

Millennium Films & Emmett/Furla Films have set Robert De Niro and Al Pacino to star in RIGHTEOUS KILL. This will be only their second time on screen together -- HEAT was there first.

The actors will play cops chaings a serial killer. The script is by Russell Gewirtz. Jon Avent will direct. Avi Lerner , Randall Emmett, Boaz Davidson, Georg Furla and Alexandra Milchan will produce.

The "indie" film is budgeted at $60 million. Filming will begin in early August.

Pacino and DeNiro? I'm there. That one scene in 'Heat' was great and I cant believe ater all these years we havent seen these two in more films

It'll be nice to see Deniro do something different than all the light-hearted fare he's done for the last decade (as much as I'm looking forward to Stardust).

Funny that they were both in The godfather so i guess that this will make it the 3rd time that they will be on the same movie...

They were both in The Godfather II but due to the different time settings they were never on screen together.

It has been a few years since I watched Heat, but wasn't it rumored that they were never on set together? That scene was shot seperately. I never heard they couldn't stand eachother. Maybe it is a rivalry.

Heat is one of my favorite movies. I loved it when the 10th anniversary DVD came out. I love the gunfight on the streets of LA. One of the best scenes ever filmed.

This all sounds great, but can we get De Niro to smack Pacino upside the head everytime he gets into a "Hoo-hah!!!!" mode, though? Less is more sometimes, Al. I also think they should duke it out for who gets top billing. Or just go by that Pacino got it for HEAT. Also, if you watch the SP ED version of the HEAT DVD and listen to the commentary, they were most definitely shooting together.

Wait.. 60 Million? For an "indie" film? That`s not a damn "indie" film.
