DERAILED at Miramax

Miramax Films has picked up the movie rights to James Siegel's novel DERAILED. Former Warner Bros. president of production Lorenzo di Bonaventura is in negotiations to produce the film for Miramax.

DERAILED is a thriller that tells the story of a married middle-aged advertising executive who has a chance encounter with a younger woman on a subway ride. Eventually the two begin having an affair, and during one of their trysts they are attacked by an intruder. Once their attacker learns of their secret he begins to blackmail the executive, turning his life into one nightmare after another.
