Dean Devlin's Electric Entertainment has snapped up the rights to a secret science fiction script, known only as NOAH.

According to VARIETY, the project "centers on a young scientist's battle for survival."

As Devlin described it screenwriters Jan Skrentny and Neal Tabachnick's script is "something totally original. The character of Noah becomes a sci-fi superhero, part comicbook, part everyman. The scope and energy of this potential franchise material makes it a perfect project for Electric Entertainment."

Electric Entertainment was started by Devlin after he moved away from full-time work with Centropolis Entertainment, where he helped to produce and write INDEPENDENCE DAY, STARGATE and GODZILLA.
