I've been waiting for this moment. In the books, his sister has known since the first one.

Happy to help Jarrett! Screw the deep end, this season jumped out of a plane into the ocean with no parachute or life vest. I have no idea how this season is going to play out big picture for Dex and Deb. I LOVE IT!

* It's a Spoiler*

I was not happy with this episode to begin with.

In previous seasons, Dexter lies to keep something secret from others is always played up for drama in Dexter, often over the course of several episodes.

Yes, it would be boring if he always got away with his crimes with no chance of him ever being discovered, but it is something the producers of Dexter always seem to try and stretch out. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

The previews played up the "how will Dexter give a good explanation and keep Deb in the dark about who he truly is?"

I was not looking forward to that little game this season. It's been done before. It is getting old. I had a feeling I would hate the season if they strung Debra along over the season thinking Dexter’s killing at the end of the last season was an ‘error in judgement’ on Dexter’s part. Making Deb look like a total dumbass.

Deb questioning his story didn't play out over several episodes, or the season, it played out over an episode. Deb is a detective, she saw past Dexter's game, and asked him THE QUESTION.

"Are you a serial killer?"

And he said "Yes."

And to me, that is why I agree this episode deserves an "A."

I honestly had grown so weary of this show that, as I was flipping channels, I just skipped over this season premier.  Just seemed to have lost its "umph" over the years and I couldn't help but sigh and move on.  I had the same feeling with Weeds two years ago.  I couldn't even bring myself to finish up that season.  Maybe I'll give Dexter another chance.  Never read the books, so maybe the next couple of seasons will wrap it up (no pun intended.)

I really thought that ending of this week's episode was something in Dexter's mind at first, but I'm very glad that it appears to have actually happened.

Great episode, by far one of the best episodes of the series.  Finally, you have Maria and Deb actually thinking like cops and doing some detecting rather than just letting things slip right passed them.

As to the review, this isn't the final season from my understanding.  It was announced some time ago that this was the second to last season with Season 8 being the end next year.  With that said, I've also seen reports where the network or the producers said they could definitely see the show continuing passed next season.

The more I think about it the more I think it dosen't really matter how much more Deb uncovers about Dex. Shes now an accessory to murder.  I guess the real question is what's her next move?

 I've grown tired of Dexter.

I was hoping this would be the final season of the show.

I've invested too much time in the series to leave it before it ends, but I've grown tired of Dexter's pyscopathic behavior, so the show doesn't entertain me as it once did.

The original author hasn't stopped writing about his creation and while the TV series has veered away from the books I don't think Showtime can come up with it's own unauthorized ending / resolution to this tale.

So apparently I'm stuck with at least two more seasons of this series.
