DGA and AMPTP Begin Contract Negotiations
By: Jarrod Sarafin, News EditorDate: Friday, January 11, 2008
After having informal talks for two weeks, the DGA and AMPTP will officially begin negotiating for a new contract on Saturday. Unfortunately, we won't hear much about the said negotiations because there will be a press blackout until they have concluded. The talks between the two sides are said to be taking place at AMPTP's headquarters in Encino, California.
The DGA contract isn't expiring until June 30, 2008 so they have a few months to hammer out a deal.

"Hey, I loosened it for you!"
As long as the DGA backs the WGA's play, these negotiations should be over quickly.
