DIE ANOTHER DAY draws disapproval

Korean critics charge cultural insensitivity

ZAP2IT reports that the latest Bond flick, DIE ANOTHER DAY, has ruffled feathers in the Koreas with its' outrageous North Korean villains. Last year, the Korea Federation of University Student Councils issued a statement calling for the film's production to be canceled and has since continued to campaign against the film.

Chu In-pyo, a major Korean actor, turned down a role in the film as a result, and Rick Yune, a Korean-American who appears in the film, has not been well received in Korea on a promotional visit for the film.
