Garrett Dillahunt (No Country for Old Men, "Deadwood") has been tapped to star in Last House on the Left, a horror remake being produced by horror icons Wes Craven and Sean Cunningham. The actor will be starring alongside Rhys Coiro, Martha MacIsaac and Riki Lindhome. Dennis Iliadis is directing, based on a screenplay penned by Adam Alleca. Craven--who created the original 72 film alongside Cunningham--will be handling production through his Midnight Pictures shingle while Rogue Pictures handles distribution. Production is set to roll next month in South Africa.
Plot Concept: A pair of adventurous teen girls are kidnapped, raped and murdered by a gang of thugs. The killers unwittingly hole up in the home of one victim's parents, who, upon realizing what their guests did, devise gruesome revenge.
