Dimension Films has agreed to co-finance the $75 million dollar Terry Gilliam movie
BROTHERS GRIMM with MGM. Under the deal Dimension will handle domestic distribution of the movie which is set to begin filming this spring. Matt Damon and Heath Ledger are the two legendary German brothers who travel from town to town, pulling the wool over townsfolks eyes by inventing tales of supernatural creatures and haunted woods. When a real curse confronts the brothers, they must overcome the spell as well as a pair of villainous masterminds (to be played by Robin Williams and Jonathan Pryce) behind the deed.
Dimension is also loosening its pursestrings further by agreeing to co-finance the big-screen version of Warner Bros.
STARSKY & HUTCH movie, also set to start filming later this year.
BROTHERS GRIMM $75 million price tag represents the highest budget so far for the studio.
