Dining out at the DAWN OF THE DEAD premiere

Stars come out for movie premiere

DAWN OF THE DEAD opens today in theaters across the country. Universal Pictures/Strike Entertainment/New Amsterdam Entertainment recently held the World Premiere, at where else...The Beverly Center Mall in West Hollywood, California.

Walking through the mall you can't help but to look around to make sure no zombies are lurking in the shadows as you head up to the Cineplex Theatres on the eighth floor. Nope, it's completely clear. I guess I was kind of hoping they would have people dressed as zombies walking through the mall or near where the red carpet was set up. That would have been cool!

Around 7:00 p.m. the stars started arriving. Seen were the stars of the film Sarah Polley (Ana), Ving Rhames (Kenneth), Jake Weber (Michael), Mekhi Phifer (Andre), Ty Burrell (Steve), Michael Kelly (CJ), Kevin Zegers (Terry), Inna Korobkina (Luda) and from the original 1979 film appearing in cameos Scott H. Reiniger as The General, Tom Savini as The County Sheriff and Ken Foree as The Televangelist. Joining them was the producer Marc Abraham and Zack Snyder the director, soundtrack artist Dave Draiman from the band Disturbed and guests Shawn Ashmore (X-MEN), Wayne Brady, Kevin Williamson, Clive Barker, Mimi Rogers, The Murderdolls, Scott Glen and many others. The biggest surprise of the night was the arrival of Christina Aguilera.
