The Flickering Myth website has posted a story that says Dinklage will not play Puck as rumored (if you google "Puck Marvel Comics," and click on images there's a photo of Dinklage).  Instead the article quotes Variety Magazine as saying Peter Dinklage will play the films primary antagonist (the main bad guy).

Blank, now that would be a significant departure from the source material.  Of course it's pretty much a given that the movie wouldn't stay true to the original story, few movies are, but in the comics there was no "main bad guy".  In the present-day portion of the story the villains were Mystique and the Brotherhood who set off the dominos that created the future Sentinels.  There was no One Man.

Oh God this is an awful thought, but I remember from the 1990's X-Men cartoon  where Mr. Sinister had a lackey named "BRAIN CHILD."  He was located and in charge of Mr. Sinisters Savage Land base, and he was a hilariously awful character who they put in the cartoon simply because he was from the comics I guess.

The best part about him was the way he spoke and extended the pronunctiation of his name LOL- "I AM BRAAAIIIIN CHIIIILLLD!"

I guess this actor could play him I suppose (cringe)

As soon as I read the article the very first thing I thought of was "Puck??", then I scroll down to Tallman's comment...NICE

I just hope he does not play someone boring is all I care.  He is really starting to shine these days.

He may also just play a human.

MTV Geek is claiming he is playing Boliver Trask.

I would love to see him as a mad scientest like Trask, although mad isn't quite the word for the man behind the sentinals, I was thinking modok as kinda as a combining a CGI character news and a villian I could see Dink playing.

But Trask was in last stand played by Bill Duke.
