Interesting. Woody could work well.

I read an article in Entertainment Weekly that at one point, Ving Rhames was to portray B.A. Baracus, Sean William Scott as Murdock, and Mel Gibson was to be Hannibal...And, the character of Face was to be a young woman. Nevertheless, this was five years ago, before Mel Gibson's racial slurs...Funny note to point out: If the character of Face was to be reworked as a woman; it would be the second time a character that actor Dirk Benedict played was reworked...The first being Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica, where the new version of the show on Sci Fi, Starbuck is a woman.

He does not seem to be addressing that ice-cube rumor.

I really like Woody Harrelson, but he doesn't seem like Murdock to me.... I still like Sacha Baron Cohen...
As for Mel Gibson, I think he would be an awful Hannibal, and even without his recent troubles I can't see him even looking at this film, he's become a legend in his own mind.

Good point Dazzler. If he does get Woody as Howlin' Mad, well, Woodrow's a big boy. Not too sure how intimidating Cube would look next to him. I wonder who he could get that would be a little more size appropriate and could pull of a funny mad-as-hell? *cough cough Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje cough*

No, no no. Not Woody Harrelson. It's not that he can't act, he just isn't right for the part. Why can't they just use the original cast? Older now? Yes. But they could still make it work. Look at Rocky Balboa & Rambo. I hope they don't ruin one of my favorite shows from when I was a kid.

Why not use the original Murdock as the last surviving member of the original team who puts a new A-Team together. Or, Jim Carey would make a great Murdock.

Sorry spiderhero, George Peppard (Hannibal) died in 1994. The rest of the old cast is probably too geriatric as well (no diss to Mr. T, he still represents). But I think we've been seeing old roles being redone by old actors all to much recently, I'm looking forward to a fresh new cast for this. I think Michael Clark Duncan could work as BA, he's huge & intimidating yet can be a big softie (e.g. Green Mile) for those BA "scared of flying" scenes.

I think Woody is perfect for the role. I think that's his true personality anyway, so not much acting needed. Not that he's not a good actor. And keep Ice Cube on ice (had to say it), I think he's terrible. His acting hasn't gotten any better and when he tries to be intimidating it looks forced and right down comedic.
