Winter soldier was a great storyline, hope they do it justice.

Agreed Dazzler, great story.  I think they will do it well.

I'm not sure I like the whole "We're making the movie for first time viewers, not just for fans".  That is what the first movie was for.  All that is necessary in the sequels will be a brief recap or, like they did in The Incredible Hulk, the opening credits retell the origin.

I agree, lusiphur.  That line concerns me, too.  It's a sequel for a reason... there's no need to go through the origin again.  A few flashbacks are nice in small doses, but let's not lose momentum in moving forward.

My concern was that there was no room in the original to fit any kind of "flash back" type movie.  So does this mean that Winter Soldier is going to be current timeline?  Because Bucky falling and Cap crashing the plane and freezing himself happened pretty close together..

And lets leave the Falcon out of it. Give us a full-on African/African-American Avenger, such as the Black Panther. I don't see it adding anything special to Cap's storyline to have the Falcon as a sidekick.

P.S. I don't mean that the Black Panther should be in Cap's film. I just mean that I don't care to see Falcon in a Marvel movie before BP, and I don't think anyone else does either.

makabriel: The flashbacks they were talking about occurrs before the plane crash. While they were fighting the war.

Hanuman: If you read the winter soldier storyline, Falcon had a big part through out it.  He's much more than a "sidekick" and this is a great way to introduce a cool character.  Don't worry, Black Panther does not make sense in this story.

Personally I always enjoyed the Falcon character so I am very happy to see this! But I've never been a big flashback fan though...lol

lusipher - totally agree with your post.  CA made some money, those folks will come back, and will want to keep moving forward.  You know, those fans.  lol

I hope they update the uniform.  The Star Spangled Crayon was the only part of the Avengers I didn't like.  :)
