Disney has acquired the film rights to three young-adult sci fi books written by Jonathan Etra and Stephanie Spinner. The books ALIENS FOR BREAKFAST, ALIENS FOR LUNCH and ALIENS FOR DINNER, tell the story of a 12-year-old boy who teams up with an alien being to stop an evil being from taking over the world. This evil alien being just happens to be the most popular kid in school, too.
Disney has tapped MONSTERS, INC. scribes Daniel Gerson and Robert Baird to the first book into a live-action script. The pair are also writing the studio's HERBIE THE LOVE BUG film project.
