Walt Disney Pictures have passed along a new image of Jeff Bridge's returning character in Tron Legacy. Check it out down below. The sequel to the classic stars Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner, James Frain, Beau Garrett and Michael Sheen. Helmer Joseph Kosinski directed the production from a screenplay by Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.

Plot Concept: The story is a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world that's unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father's disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin's loyal confidant (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

Tron Legacy will hit theaters December 17, 2010.

Looks like a screen pulled from the test trailer.

The trailer for this looked amazing. Really looking forward to this and see what they can do with the 3D format. I think the images from a digital world would be perfect for 3D and should be astounding in I-Max.

Waiting for a rainy day to finally pop in the first TRON, which I've never actually seen except for snippets

JEDIBANNER: have somethign against 3D or are you one of the few that cant see 3D?

Hobbs 2/3/2010 7:38:55 AM

i think you are in for a treat Wise, just keeping in mind that movie came out when the Arcades where huge.  I have no doubt that won't be a big deal for you but I've had friends that just can't get past how dated the movie is.

I wish there were some more images....I think its great they got Bridges and Boxleitner back but I want to see more!

My dad has only one eye and so can't see 3D movies.  Sucks.

therockdltj 2/3/2010 9:05:09 AM

this might be the first movie i see in I-max since it doesn't open up till the end of the year

That's old style 3d, jericho.  New style doesn't require the red/blue glasses anymore.  It's more to do with a different style of projection..
