The Walt Disney Co. has set THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW's Jeffrey Nachmanoff to write three films for the studio.

Nachmanoff will take on UNNATURAL HISTORY, LIBERTY and PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME.

PRINCE OF PERSIA centers on an adventurous prince who uncovers a dangerous artifact in a remote mountain kingdom and, with the help of an enemy princess, must stop a despot from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy all mankind.

UNNATURAL HISTORY revolves around a family that becomes trapped in the Museum of Natural History and must fight to survive when the resident creatures come to life.

And the action story LIBERTY takes place after an electromagnetic pulse disables the infrastructure of the country; it revolves around a ragtag group of Americans who must use technology from the 1940s and '50s to defend against a foreign invasion.

Prince of Persia sounds like one of those '80s "sword and sorcery" movies of a Sinbad movie. Isn't Ben Stiller making a movie that sounds a lot like Unnatural History? Liberty sounds pretty good; I like the premise. Sounds like Red Dawn a little.

Wes, I believe that "Prince of Persia" is based on a video games from the 90's.

...yes, Ben Stiller is making that museum movie.

The most interesting film sound like Liberty.

Liberty sounds interesting, Prince of Persia sounds over done, and Unnatural History, don't really want to go there.. Unless Scooby-doo and shaggy are going to make an appearance.

Unnatural History sounds similar to a Mathew Reilly Novel, called Contest. In it a man is trapped in the New York Public Library, with his young daughter, and put in a contest between four (i believe) different races from throught the galaxy, where only one survives.

Add a couple more family members, number the bad guy/alien/creature count to one, and change the historic building...

*shrug* there were a number of other sub-plot devices that are missing here, but it's similar. I had actually hoped they would make Contest into a movie; it was an exciting book.

WHAT! No Deus Ex or Area 51? I would have liked to see these two games transfered over to film instead of Prince Of Persia.

Oh yeah, nearly forgot. NO UWE BOLL!

Prince of Persia:The Sands of Time was released on the PS2 in 2003. It was based off a popular 2D side scroller PC game Prince of Persia which was released back in 1989. The story of the games was the evil Vizer kills the prince's father and unleashes the sands of time and the prince must stop him and avenge his father. And yes it is an arabian setting so it will have Sinbadesc feel to it in the movie.

Prince of Persia will be a good one, definately worth seeing. Unnatural history I could miss, and Liberty sounds interesting enough.

Prince of Persia was good game, which means it will suck as a movie, and liberty reminds me of Red Dawn.

Actually, in Sands of Time, the prince is tricked by the Vizier into unleashing the sands of time from their hour glass, and this in turn kills his father. I am not so pleased about this becoming a movie. The story of the game was great, sure, but much of this came from the solitude of the prince fighting alone with only Farah as an ally. It would be too hard to have a movie about the prince being alone with just Farah, and this may defeat part of what made the game so interesting.

So what your saying is... just like sands in the hourglass of time... so are the days of the prince's life...
