This is too bad, the show is really good. I almost hate to start any new shows anymore because the studios and networks don't stand behind them. They need to realize that a major portion of their audience is made up of children and changing the show like this only creates brand confusion...also, it upsets older fans!

Bad move, folks.

One thing I can't stand is this Marvel Universe thing they do with Nick Fury giving you updates like you are a secret agent. It is so lame because he uses the same speech for each one. :)

This bites. I really liked the cartoon and how it brings in a lot of characters we wont see in the movies :/ And agree with ElBaz that it was Marvels JLA series. BALLS TO THIS. In fact BIG HAIRY BALLS!

The only thing I can think of is that younger audiences, which in reality is what this is targeted at, are getting confused with the movie version and the cartoon one? Anyone with kids on here who might know?

Also does anyone know how the ratings are holding up? Though being on Disney I wouldnt really think that mattered as much?

This sucks if true.  I have enjoyed this immensely.  The last episode even gave us Beta Ray Bill.  What is up with Disney?  First they cancel the superior Spectacular Spider-Man for Ultimate Spider Man and now this.

The only problem I had with current toon was they nixed the nazi's.  Hopefully they don't do anymore revisionist history for next one.  People esp kids need to understand how evil the nazi's were and to never repeat epic mistakes.

Forget Beta Ray - they gave us Luke and Danny!

Argh! this decision is bugging more and more since I'm currently watching the first season on blu-ray for the first time and really enjoying this show. Not to sound repetitive but this series is the closest thing to the comics. From what I've seen so far, they are sticking close to the original Avenger stories...sort of.

1st episode had all of the 5 originals, 4th episode had them finding Cap (like issue 4), 9th episode creation of Wonder Man as villain (#9), Hulk quitting shortly after they reunite.  There was also so much potential with classic Avenger storylines from the comics that we would never see on screen like the Korvac saga, Kree/Skrull war, Masters of Evil taking over Avengers mansion and "killing" Hercules to more modern like Civil War.

Not impressed. I usually support Disney and Marvel decisions and this is not one of them. Can we do something about it? Petition?

You know I feel about Marvel animation they same way I feel like DC's attempts at bringing their properties to the movies.  Marvel just doesn't know how to treat them correctly.  Avengers EMH and Spectactular Spiderman were probably the two best Marvel animated shows to date and they got cancelled way to early.  Given Marvel's track record I'll hope the new show is good, but all signs point to it being a turd.  That new Spiderman show is garbage too... Ultimate turd.

I wish Marvel would pull a DCAU and actually build a coherent and compelling world which Avengers EMH seemed to be doing really well.  Maybe one day.  If only DC could get their movie act together & Marvel could get their animation act together.

I liked the show but it wasn't a must see for me. It always seemed to be missing something. The voice acting was just ok and the animation quality while good could have been better. This is Disney after all they should have the best animation and voice talent. Avengers:EMH just didn't.

You got it goldeneyez.

As a Marvel fan, I was always jealous of the top quality DC cartoon with Batman TAS, Beyond, Brave and the Bold. JLA and Superman TAS. Marvel gave us so-so Saturday morning quality shows like the 90s X-men and Spidey and the low budget FF and Iron Man. Even the last versions of FF (anime style) and Invicible Iron Man were not that great.

Yes, EMH and Spectacular Spidey were definitely up there and I thought Marvel could now be at the same level as DC. Even Wolverine and the X-men was pretty good and close to the source material (current material). But, Marvel/Disney pulled the plug on all of these. One of my favorite all time characters is Hawkeye and I felt this show pretty much nailed the comicbook version which I grew up with. The movie version is essentially Mark Millar's Ultimate version.

As much as I like the movie universe...they should leave to the movies. Now we're probably going to see maskless/witless Hawkeye.
