DISTURBIA 2 Getting Prepped?

While I can see why a sequel is even being discussed just by the fact that it earned 115 million in worldwide release last spring, it could be far into the future. I can't see this getting filmed anytime soon, at least not with the principals of DISTURBIA. The director D.J Caruso will be reteaming with Shia LaBeouf on another Dreamworks project very shortly called EAGLE EYE. After that's filmed, Shia will be back to TRANSFORMERS 2 (another Dreamworks film) which will begin production soon and won't end anytime in the near future depending on the June 2008 strike. Whatever the case, the fellow geeks at Bloody Disgusting have heard this morning that a sequel to the film is in planning stages at the studio.

Despite peoples complaints about being able to see the mics and other small garbage like that. I enjoyed the 1st movie. Will the same characters be involved or better yet will the same bad guy be involved which leads to the question how much trouble can this kid get in?

Speak of the devil...I just watched this movie tonight on Pay Per View and thought it was very good but that is because Shia for some reason just has me transfixed to the tube...This Kid is a very good actor and I don't see anything but greatness coming from him in the future...It's been because of him I have enjoyed every movie he has been in, including Shaker Heights...I look forward to anything he does, especially Indy....

Come now! Disturbia was just a cheap knock-off of Fright Night...with a serial killer, in exhange for the vampire!!! Add in a little sprinkle of Rear Window--add, water...shake...and you've got Disturbia!!! Disturbia??? What a waste of a good title!!!

Shia is an amazing actor, he should have one an Emmy for his role in Tru Confessions; a made-for-tv movie. I haven't seen Disturbia yet, but I plan to eventually. Michael Gods of Time

Metal...It does not matter where they stole, borrowed or inherited from what source materials because that is how it is with just about every movie out there these days...Even with what you said it still stands on it's own as a good movie, so it's a mixed breed, so are most of us humans...

I would love to say something about this article, but I haven't seen the movie yet. So I wont say anything.

Can't wait for Transformers 2! I hope that they add mor Autobots and Decepticons. Oh yeah..bring back Megatron and bring on Unicron!

Actually M La...theft or no theft, Disturbia, although it had some good moments, was ultimately a weak movie. Shia LaBeouf should steer clear of any sequels to this movie.

I was thinking its going to be one of those direct to dvd sequels. same title, different cast and director and what not
