In a press release, Sony Pictures reported that Alred Molina has been cast as
SPIDER-MAN's uber-nemesis, the multi-armed cyborg
DOCTOR OCTOPUS, more frequently referred to as
DOC OCK.
The character is named after a multi-armed device that he wears that provides him the functional equivalent of eight extensible, grasping, mechanical arms.
Molina was most recently seen opposite Salma Hayek in
FRIDA as Mexican painter Diego Rivera.
